Max Guard

• UOBM customers who are Malaysian citizens or permanent residents of Malaysia and for family plan, their spouse and children who reside in Malaysia.
  • His/her legal spouse aged 18 years to 60 years old, with renewable till policy anniversary after attaining the age of 76 years.
  • His/her children are aged 6 months up to 18 years old or up to 25 years if still studying full time.
• Free from physical defects and in normal health.
• Class 3 occupation (engaging in manual work) eligible for Plan A only.
• Maximun 1 active policy per insured person.

* 15% of the premium paid will be refunded upon renewal of the policy subject there isn't any claim in the previous policy period, and the policy is still in force.

Duration of cover is for one year as stated in the Certificate of Insurance. You need to pay the insurance cover on a monthly basis via credit/ debit card instruction.

Note:
The premium amount is before Service Tax. Stamp duty is not applicable.

This policy does not cover bodily injury, death or disability or hospitalization caused by the following events:

• Caused by war, invasion, act of foreign enemy hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, or military or usurped power.
• Any form of disease, infection or parasites and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or AIDS Related Complex (ARC) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection (HIV).
• Caused or contributed by
  1. suicide or intentional self-injury.
  2. pre-existing medical conditions, mental disorder or physical infirmity.
  3. pregnancy or childbirth unless caused solely and directly by the Accident.
  4. AIDS or any related diseases, immunodeficiency disorder or tested positive on an Aids-related blood test.
  5. having taken a drug, unless you prove that the drug was taken in accordance with proper medical prescription and directions, and not for treatment of drug addiction.
  6. mental or nervous disorders or treatment of alcoholism or intoxication.
  7. cosmetic or plastic surgery or any elective surgery or congenital anomalies.
  8. dental disease, dental care or surgery.
  9. treatment for obesity/weight related improvement.
  10. general check-up, convalescence, custodial or rest cure.
  11. any sexually transmitted diseases.
  12. while committing or attempting to commit any unlawful act.
  13. Insured Person does not have a valid driving license to drive the Vehicle. This will not apply if Insured Person has an expired license but is not disqualified from holding or obtaining such driving license under any existing laws, by-laws and regulations.
• Caused or contributed by injury arising from engaging in (or practicing for or taking part in training peculiar to:-
  1. racing of any kind (other than on foot) or trial of speed or reliability.
  2. mountaineering or rock or cliff climbing necessitating the use of ropes or guides.
  3. hang gliding
  4. parachuting
  5. winter sports (excluding curling and skating)
• Caused or contributed by injury arising from engaging in the Insured Person’s occupation as:-
  1. professional divers
  2. test pilot
  3. professional sports person
  4. air crews and ship crews
  5. naval, military or air force service or operation.
  unless otherwise expressly agreed and endorsed by Us.

Note: This list is non-exhaustive. Please refer to the policy contract for the full list of exclusions under this policy.

1. This Policy is extended to cover injury sustained by the Insured Person who is employed as military personnel, law enforcement officer, civil defence officer, and security officer who solely does sedentary desk-bound duties, that is strictly clerical or administration work.
2. This Policy is extended to cover injury sustained by the Insured Person who is employed in any of the occupations listed in EXCLUSIONS provided the Insured Person is off-duty at the time of the injury and the injury does not arise in the course of employment or any activity related to the Insured Person’s employment.
